Just called. Car is still there. I know it's parts only, but what a shame. Rare car, rare color, and it's hard to tell, but might have been a 4-speed V-8 car. Lot owner is going to send pics.

Evening Orchid wasn't offered in a two tone. Hard to tell what the actual color is. Maybe blue with a white top? Outline on front fender appears to be of crossed flags, which would make it a V/8. Hopefully pictures will tell more.

It does, and Bob may be right, that that might not be the original color. But it wouldn't be the first car to have a top repainted after CA sun beats a vulnerable color like that into submission.

Like so many others, I'd love to have gotten to it before it got there, Evening Orchid or not. Still some SS trim hanging around it, but, though it might be savable, the yard claimed it to have a junk slip and 'parts only' designation.
