I'm wondering what the differences are between the 62-64 and the 65 core supports. I have a 62 sedan that I'm building. I found a used oem 65 core support cheap but I'm not sure if it will work for my 62. Anyone able to school me on this? Thanks

The core supports have slight differences every year. A '65 is different in that it has a larger radiator opening (remember 327 and HD cooling that year), and different brackets at the upper outer ends to deal with '65 eyebrow moldings and headlight stuff. I think it could be made to work with '62 grille and parts, but you would have to adapt the '65 to fit with '62 parts. I know the '65 mud buckets are one year only, so I think you would need to use the '62-'64 type, along with '62 type headlight assemblies.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think about the larger radiator opening but that would work in my favor.
