OK,
65 Chevy II

the hardness from the fire wall for the engine & wiper motor.

Wiper motor (No issue) Black & black/yellow

4 other wires. (Note: my assumption) please correct if wrong!

Purple - Start
Blue-Oil light switch
green- temp warning light

White/black stripe ( a resistor wire) for ignition.
is the resistor wire only from the firewall out? Or is the wire from switch to firewall resistor also. I have to change this wire for the HEI to none resistor.

if any of this is wrong please correct me.
I do not have a wiring dia for a 65

Thanks
Al

Check your voltage coming out of the switch first and then check it with the wire hooked up. If the voltage varies, then it is a resistor wire.

You know, why did I not think of that? (don't answer!)

Thanks
