I found the receipt for the carpet...November 1993. It only took me 13 years to get the carpet in! It's coming out pretty well. Still need to put the sill plates on, then get the heater and kickpanels put back together, and that will be it for this iteration. Someday I'll put on new seat covers and door panels and go all red...but the red/black thing is sort of growing on me.

Shifter hump modified to accept Hurst Quarter Stick:

Voila! Seats and seatbelts!

Hey patman,nice job on the custom install!! Do you always have to cut out the tunnel to install an other than stock shifter? I've got a 63 ss w/ t350 and i'm looking at the lokar shifter. Just wondering.

lol...good catch. Look closely at the picture with the carpet and no seats...it's on the dashboard just above the speedo, on top of a piece of paper.

I had some trouble getting the screws to line up nicely with my homemade rear bracket, so I left it off until I get that sorted out better.
