I have a 63 Nova steering box has a lot of play and is worn out. Is there any
other model that is compatable to replace it?
Is it possible to have the old one rebuilt?
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes the boxes can be rebuilt. There are people out there who rebuild them and you can buy one already done. I have 2 boxes out of 63 novas I can't even give away. They are good cores they need to be rebuilt as well.

Prime candidate for a rack conersion.(CBR) or I think flaming river makes new shortshaft boxes that require column modifications.A 67 Nova box will also with the same column mod.

Rack & Pinion gets you into more modern technology, and the Church Boys conversion is the only one to go with.

You can also get rebuilt, blueprinted steering boxes if you want to stay closer to stock. The blueprinted ones are much smoother operating than the old originals.
