New to the group, working on my 77, want to do smoothy bumpers and rather than go through the hassle of de-chrome and welding studs, fiberglass would be easier and have some weight reduction. All of the fiberglass bumpers I see don't have any mounting studs or the like. How would I mount this to the core and have a smooth bumper? Pics would be great. I will post progress pics soon. Thanks all.

The only thing that comes to mind is to hold the new bumper against the stock reinforcement, mark where the mount holes should be on the back of the bumper, then fiberglass in some bolts that have flat heads. I can't say how strong this would be, but can also suggest drilling holes on the bottom lip of the bumper and using the stock bolts for added strength.
