yeah I saw that trans about a month ago.....

I thought the same thing.....

Hot rodding was supposed to be cheap or at least moderately cheap to have fun.. now a trans cost as much as my truck is worth? I dont think so...

Didn't GM just introduce the 6L80E, 6-speed auto.? I wonder how long it will take before those start showing up at the bone yards.

^^ x2 Its a GM trans. They put them in 2500 series pickups from 2008 and 2009. Start checking the bone yards. Only shifting out of park is done manually. The rest is handled electronically.......the reason for the padel shifters.

Don't feel bad Al, I priced a 5 spd manual up here it was just shy of $5K, still needs the clutch, bellhousing and crossmember.
