Good street motor with 3000 high stall, runs low 12's on the quarter. Im putting an Edelbrock Street tunnel ram 2x4 on and need to now what the best carb CFM im going to need. Everybody seems to be using a pair of 600's but is that too much? It's going to be 90% street driven.

Have any of you tried the Holley XP series 750 DP Holley says they should be excellent tunnel ram carbs ? I’m building a bbc 540 with solid roller in the 660 lift area 12to1 and dart 335 heads, any thoughts would be appreciated thanks. rooster

I'd guess a couple 600's would be a good fit for the 454.

I think the 600’s would be a good choice too. Call Holley and see what they say. I THINK they have tunnel ram specific carbs, but it’s been so long since I had one.

It's a lot easier to do the linkage to the two vacuum secondary carburetors. They usually mount normally. Most of the time if using double pumper carburetors they are mounted side ways.

The Enderle linkage for sideways mounted carbs is only about $140.

Pretty-easy to set up.

Personally, I wouldn't run anything but 4150 style double-pumpers on a tunnel ram.
