Can't make a blanket statement like that.....

Many aftermarket race heads the port in the center of the intake gasket face is no longer an exhaust crossover like a stock head.
Instead they configure it to be a water port for increased cooling.

Without knowing exactly what head is being used here, we can't really say one way or the other.
Should be easy enough for the OP to examine and figure out if the passage goes to water or to the back of an exhaust port bowl.
I didn't make a banket statement about aftermarket heads. I did know what head and I advised looking in the port to see the exhaust valve. He mentioned the head type in the first post.

What I did do was explain why that port if it were an exhaust port was used for on STOCK intake manifolds. I'm done.

Just in case you have an issue with the intake end gaps leaking, I had big gaps front and rear similar to you and someone on this site recommended TheRightStuff, which I used and it worked really well. Did you start it yet? I mean, it's Friday which is practically the weekend.
Also, I recall previously using intake gaskets with a metal insert to block off the exhaust crossover port. I guess my concern would be that the exhaust heat could eventually burn through a composite intake gasket if that was used to block off the port, but maybe that is unfounded. Hopefully someone with more knowledge/experience than me can pipe in.

Didn't fire it up yet probably saturday or sunday. I used extra black rtv on the front and rear so we'll see what happens when we run it. If it leaks then I'll take it off and use that right stuff. It looks like it's sealed up pretty good but we'll see. Thanks!

Think I have to take a little off the water pump mounting flange where the ps bolts too so they ps can sit more flush to the block.
No way to maybe bend the bracket? Kinda don't wanna mess with the pad on the block at all or am I understanding what you're saying correctly?
