I just bought a T10 off a member and i will be swapping my th350 out for it. My 69 has a 350 sbc and i am compiling a list of what i will need for the swap. Here is what i have found, please add to the list if there is anything i have missed. The car was originally a manual so i already have the clutch petal assembly, the upper push rod, and the frame side mount bracket.

1 upper push rod boot
1 upper push rod retaining clip
1 lower push rod assembly
1 lower push rod retaining clip
1 bellcrank assembly
2 bellcrank felts
1 block side ball stud
1 clutch fork
1 clutch fork return spring
1 clutch fork return spring extension wire
1 clutch fork to bellhousing boot
1 roller pilot bearing
1 pilot bushing
Missing anything?

Here's the bellhousing, flywheel, and clutch kit i'm looking at

Bellhousing

Flywheel
http://m.summitracing.com/parts/sum-700180

Clutch kit
http://www.classicindustries.com/nova/parts/167510.html

I chose these because it seems like you have to use a 10.5" clutch w/ a 350 sbc, can you use 11"? I also chose them because i need a 168 flywheel to use my starter.

Please feel free to suggest different parts. I'm on a tight budget though so i can't spend too much.

Also, what mods do i need to do to have it fit properly? I've heard i can use the TH350 crossmember and my driveshaft, will i need to cut my floor and if so, how much?

Thnx

Ok thnx flyer

What doing you think of the bellhousing, flywheel, and clutch kit i chose?

Also, do you know of any mods i'll need to do?

I noticed alot of ppl have question about this swap, but only bits and pieces of the puzzle.

I figured i'd get all the info and then do a step by step swap w/ pics so there's one thread everyone can use as a reference.

Forgot to add to my list

1 bellhousing ball stud

Just found out Gound Up has an entire section of parts specifically for this swap

the kit, ok. the bell housing, i'm not sure. you don't need a 621 housing specifically, there's another number i forget what it is, then there's a smaller 10.5 housing for a 3rd genner. the 621's are the matching numbers kinda cars. you're not. check Ebay, Craigs, here for the other bell housing, or a good 621 and compare. shop a little. the clutch? no. not even. for what you're looking at right there i'd go to my local reputable parts store and buy a quality clutch. support your local whoseewhatsits, you get a warranty there too... or spend more and get a better higher dollar, higher performance clutch... shop Sumjegzywhosits. 11" flywheel, 11" clutch, 168 tooth, yup. yer cool. 11" bell housing, 168 tooth and 10.5 clutch... why? if you go 10.5 the go the 10.5 bell housing too... right? i'd go with the 168 tooth, 11" clutch & flywheel/bellhousing. i'd be real careful on flywheels. if it's not the correct thickness now the clutch is closer to the face of the crank, further way from the transmission and the fork, pivot & clutch geometry is off. i'd recommend mocking everything up and testing prior to stabbing the transmission. when you get to that stage we can discuss it... do more shopping to get the best deals. a good used factory GM flywheel that's been resurfaced only a bit is just fine and can be maybe found in a bone yard... a new ring gear is cheap and installation can be done too if an oxy/acet set up is available, and a thick flat steel table... that too can be discussed. or a shop can do it inexpensively along with resurfacing...

shop shop shop... good luck Shifty

I've put that same flywheel in my 70 SS 4 speed and it works fine. I can't bring myself to use a cast flywheel in my car, I've seen what happens when one explodes. I'd go with the 11" clutch. Don't forget, you'll need a starter for the 168 tooth flywheel.

Ok, i'll go all 11". I just wasn't sure if i was able to because all the 11" flywheels and clutch kits on classic industries say they are for bigger motors so i didn't know if the bolt pattern to the crank was different or something.

Here's and example of what i mean
http://www.classicindustries.com/nova/parts/88762h.html
It say's for a 396, but the spline is the same. Will this work?

The matching flywheel
http://www.classicindustries.com/nova/parts/11501.html
This says for 350, 396.

If that combo will work i'll just buy that.

Thnx for all the help guys, i guess the only other question left is what mods i'll have to do. I'm pretty sure the xmember and driveshaft will work fine, i'm just wondering about cutting the tunnel. I wont have all the parts to do the swap for atleast another week, so i was hoping someone knew the size hole i need so i can knock that out and get it out of the way.

1972novafever, thnx for the z bar kit link, i already have some of the parts but $83 free shipping is cheaper then buying the parts separately, and it'll guarantee i'll have everything!
