does any cutting need to be done when converting from a auto console to a
4 speed console...on a 67 nova....help please....thanks in advance.

I don't think you can convert an auto console to a 4 speed. You'd have to cut a chunk out of the left side to accomodate the shifter. The auto console has parallel sides. The 4 speed has a bump out on the left side to accomodate the shifter and shift plate. Anybody got pics?

Very true Bob. All of the regular places to buy parts has the 4 speed hump available for converting the auto to stick.

That is the least of ones worry....

There's only one problem if I read the question correctly.

ta67nova didn't ask how to "convert an automatic console to a 4-speed console".

He asked what was required "when converting from a auto console to a 4 speed console".

That's not not how I understood it. Here's what he said.
