I am ready to install exhaust on my 72 and am thinking about 3" true duals with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Can anyone tell me what offset is needed on the mufflers?

I've used both offset and center inlet mufflers on mine at different times. There are kits available with everything you need from Summit, Jegs, Flowmaster, etc..........

I just purchased a 2-1/2" kit from Jegs. Wont be installing it for a couple weeks. The quality of the pipes are nice. Both Summit and Jegs have side in, center out configuration, at least the ones I looked at for a 3rd gen.

Pypes and Torque Tech have kits too if you are looking for pre-fabbed.
