I have two cars I want to take all the good parts off of one and put it on the other. Right now the one I’m going to keep has a 350sbc I might go up to like 500 hp. The donor car has a 400 trans. Can a 350 trans handle 500hp
TH350's with a good case are getting sorta scarce in my neck of the woods. They're great, but for the everyday gearhead it's tough to beat a TH400. The old wives tale of "It takes too much horsepower to turn" has pretty much been debunked in my opinion. Lots of the LS crowd getting excellent track results with them swapping from a lighter 4L60E. A good converter and a TH400 will work well behind just about anything.
