seems my rear main seal started leaking this weekend and I was just wondering if it was possible to replace it while still in the car or do I have to pull the motor? also what is the best sounding cam you could put in a 350 with out have to run a stall and loss of performance? peace!

yes you can change the rear main seal while the motor is still in the car you will need to drop the oil pan down to do this and take off the rear main cap to change the seal also you may to look at www.compcams.com for a good sounding cam check out there thumper line of cams :yes:

actually ......a hole in the oil pan!!

is it possible to replace the oil pan with the motor still in the car?? if so do I have to take the motor mounts loose and lift the engine? (350) thanks!

I say yank the engine and replace the pan and gasket that way it comes out really nice and your not fighting trying to keep the gasket in place while trying to get the pan back on.
