what is the narrowest wheel i can safely run on my 63 nova? Safely:yes:

I am running a 4" wheel on the front of my 68 and I drive the hell out of it on the street, I would think a 3.5" on a 63 would be ok!

A 3.5" wheel with a 165 section width tire is fine for normal street driving and trips down the strip. I know a couple guys running the same width rim and tire, and I ran a 4" rim with the same tire for 10 years and no problems.
