Ideal fit is probably a 7" rim, a 9" rim tends to stretch out how they look and eliminate any sidewall bulge so if you rub up to close to a curb the rim gets swiped instead of just the tire sidewall or white letters.
On a 6" rim they will look very tough, a real muscle looking sidewall bulge. Roughly 1-1/4" of bulge per side
I've even put 235/60's on 6" rims, looks real tough on stock Pontiac Rally II wheels used on the '78-83 Grand Prix's
what is your back spacing on those torque thrust wheels ? do you have disk up front. i have disks up front on my 66 they moved the anchor surface out 5/8" i have rallys that are 14 x 6 with a back space of 4 3/8" an have a 205 70 14 tire. that 225 might be a bit tight, post up how they fit.
