You have a 230 or 250 engine

don't go by the "block casting numbers".

IT Should have a number by the "dist. pad" ..... something like mine : -- F0709 BC

F = Flint engine plant

07 = month of the year -- (07 = July)

09 = day of the month -- ( the ninth day )

BC = the engine code -- (BC = 250 (155hp) , with p/g)

my block casting # 3921968 -- 230 or 250 , 67 to 75

my car trim tag = " 07C " build date .... = July the third week.
which does match my engine build date of : F0709 .

you HAVE a 230 or 250 motor because of your 4" side covers....
get your dist pad # to determine if it's a 230 or 250 over on
"Nova Resource.com" .

IT IS - NOT a 292 ........

If it has never been rebuilt. Pull the plugs if you see a flat top piston it's a 230. If you see a dish It's a 250.
