A bad knee injury forces me to pull my Muncie and go automatic.
I was thinking or a 2004r able to handle power in the 600-650 HP range.
I don't have that power but want the room to grow should I ever choose so.
Anyway, as you probably already know, there are many builders to choose from with varying prices. Right now I have a pretty stout 383, rear gears are not a issue as I will change from my 323s. Also there is the lock up or non lock up issue. Non lockup seems to be the suggested way to go.

Monster seems to have some pretty good deals just not sure of their history. Any input or advice would certainly be Appreciated.
I already bought a crossmember and B&M shifter.

I would consider Monster if you plan on growing into that much hp. Other than that, they might have a lower stage tranny for less money. Speaking of less, a 700r4 is cheaper to build therefore cheaper in price. Also, consider Animal Performance Transmission I think out of FL. They have good reviews and competitive pricing. Good luck!

thanks for the Reply's, FB was certainly my first call as well as Select but Select never called me back.
I'm now considering a hydraulic throw out bearing and additional components
for my already stout Muncie M22. I spent a lot of money on it and has the "Z"
gear set and billet mid plate along with some other goodies in it.
Maybe the hydraulic set up will be tolerable, IDK.
FB is ten minutes from me so that who Ill go with if my final decision is the 2004R.

Transmission Depot seems to have some killer offers but it h
just seems to cheap to me.
