nice...very nice; although the screwed-on trim tag is scary.

Thats how mine was from the factory - screwed on instead of riveted on.

Me and my Dads 77's are screwed on too.
Is that the wrong grill for the car?

I thought 77 and 78 Rally cars had the Rally grill.
LOOKS WELL MAINTAINED, NOT WORTHY OF A RESERVE! IMO
I really have doubts about that being a real rally nova. They all had sport mirrors, the grill is different.None had stripes like that.I have seen bench seat no guage cars like that, but its missing fender emblems and a bunch of other items that make a rally a rally. So in my opinion no its not a rally, just a nicely done v-8 coupe.

You're correct. This is not a Rally Nova. Amongst other things, 4th generation Rally Novas had triple stripes the length of the lower body and horizontal parking lights in a special diamond pattern grill. This car is done up more like a 3rd gen Rally.

Bob
No stripes like that appear in the '78 brochure. It also looks like a coil has been cut from each front spring, or they went with 6 cylinder springs. I like the rake. Overall a nice car.
