I remove what was left of the carpet and want to put new carpet in. Where are the carpet guard screws located? I don't recall pulling any screws out when removing the carpet and if i did i would have put them in a baggy and labeled it somehow.

Anyone have a photo of that guard installed?
Not the best shot but this is the guard in my 68 when I took out the left screw to pivot it down so I could access the emergency brake cable retension fingers that needed to be compressed to get the cable assembly out.

There is a slot on the panel that the emergency brake cable slides through and then the bottom of this plate is level going left to right in the car.

I don't know if it's yet another one year 68 part or what.

Car's I've owned have been the 68, 73's, 74's, and a 77 and I don't recall that sleeve other than on my 68.

Others might comment and say what is on the 69-72 models (or correct me as sometimes the memory goes to junk).
