Was it possible to have a Rally Nova with the SS option. I have found a 71/72 Nova that has both the Rally stripe and SS badges and grill. Not been able to talk to the owner yet but this car has been setting in one place for over 20 years.

No, you could not get both options together.

The Rally Nova package was created as an "insurance beater". High performance cars, such as any Super Sport carried a hefty insurance premium, so GM created the Rally Nova, and the Heavy Chevy on the Chevelle/Malibu to give people an sporty looking vehicle without the high performance engines, and the high insurance premiums. It wouldn't make sense to put the Rally package with the Super Sport package.

The RS/SS was only offered on the Camaro, and Rally for a Nova is spelled without the 'E'.

Thanks guy's I think some one has added the Rally stripe to an SS car, or the SS stuff to the Rally, either way when I get more info I will pass it on.

I took care of that 'E' for you! It is a pet peave of mine because I don't like my Rally Nova being confused with a RS camaro, and I don't like seeing it misspelled.

If you can get more pics or information about the car, we might be able to figure which is the case. I'm going to guess that somebody added SS badges etc to a Rally Nova. If the car is a 72, the VIN will tell if it is an SS.
