I doesn't really matter, at this point, if you don't have the original engine. You can put anything you want in it. Look for a build sheet in the rear bottom cushion that is where I found mine!

1970 Nova SS
Have a 70ss 4 speed triple black disk brakes 12 bolt posi heavy duty suspension power steering car. I bought it with no motor how to tell if it might be a LT1 car.

The only “LT1” Nova in 1970 was the Yenko Deuce…and it was not an SS car.
Your car would have had either a 396 (350hp or 375hp) or a 350 (300hp).

Interesting combination of options on that 1970ss.. If all that stuff is all original factory equipment it would seem to be a nice home for a big horse power mill..
