Hello all,

I am having quite the saga with the windows on my 63 Acadian, so I thought I would try and post to see if anyone can lend some advice...

The driver side window regulator keeps on falling out of the window track. I have a new regulator if I need to install it, but after measuring the length of the track on the driver's side compared to the passenger's side, it is 4'' shorter. The old regulator seems to work fine, there is just too much travel in the mechanism and it slips out of the track every time I roll the window up/down.

The first picture is the length pf the passenger side, the second is the length of the driver side.

Can anyone lend some insight in to this? Do I need to order a new window track? If so, how does this attach to the bottom of the window?

Thanks! from Nova Scotia, Canada.

I measured a 2 dr. hardtop window

at 15 inches. So you need a longer track if you have a 2 door. car.

Ok, thanks for checking! I wonder if I can buy just the track and attach it to my my window? My existing window must not be original. I'll have to do some digging.
