1963 Nova Grills are NOW IN STOCK!! - NEW!!

Hello Steve's Nova Site Members,

Classic Industries is pleased to announce that 1963 Nova grills are IN STOCK NOW!!

These are an exact reproduction of the aluminum grills that originally came on 1963 Chevy II/Nova models. Grills come with brackets assembled for easy bolt-on installation.

Forum members that would like to purchase one should act now as we anticipate that they will go fast.

We hope you guys are as excited about this new grill as we are.

Any questions, please feel free to PM me here at Steve's Nova Site.

Best Regards,

Ray

Part # 3833312 is a stamped aluminum grill with stamped steel brackets painted black and riveted to the grill just like the factory for easy bolt-on installation. The vertical grill bars are accent painted in black just like OE.

ps thanks!!!!!
Hello batman09,

Thank you for the response. Yes, these have been in development for quite some time. However, I'm sure that you have probably heard the saying that "good things come to those who wait"?

Well, we believe that this statement is very true when it comes to these brand new reproduction grills. You may recall that there used to be a "repop" available many years ago. But our supply of those dried up about 4 years ago because the vendor had discontinued them.

For those who are building a 1963 Chevy II/Nova, this grill could be the component you need to take your car from ordinary to extraordinary. It is manufactured on ALL NEW TOOLING with great care taken to ensure that the stampings are clean and crisp, and that the appearance is as authentic and original looking as possible. The aluminum is polished and coated with a clear anodization to preserve the finish and protect the aluminum against corrosion. It features the correct satin black trim accent paint as original. The correctly formed and stamped steel center support brackets and outer end brackets are preinstalled for authenticity and ease of installation. Hood latch is not included.

As always, your 100% satisfaction is guaranteed or your money back as per the Classic Industries "Money Back Guarantee". If for any reason you are not satisfied with a product or purchase, you can return the product within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, credit or exchange.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Have a great weekend,

Ray

Car Shop Inc. in Orange CA has them for $239
That would be Rudy at Modern Performance Classics. 714-639-7325

I talked to Rudy a lot when I first got my 63 Vert. He seems to know his business and was very helpful. For a lot of the Nova owners in the Orange/LA and Inland Empire Rudy is the first call. He is at least worth a phone call.

Still waiting on the '62 promised years ago as well. Must be tougher to make. $569 is a lot of money until you see what a decent used one costs +straighten and polish + re-anodize. That or N.O.S. if you can find one. All of a sudden getting out for $600 with tax, if you are trying to make a nice car, isn't out of line, especially if it comes riveted with all the brackets.

1963 Nova Grille Now In Stock - Improved Product by OER Now Available

Car Shop Inc. in Orange CA has them for $239
Hi cesarserrato,

Thank you for the reply. The grill you are talking about is a much different product than the product we are offering. The product we are offering is manufactured by OER. The tooling is brand new, which means crisper details, and straighter lines.

Additionally, all of the correct brackets come pre-installed, including the 2 outer brackets and 1 center bracket. The lower-priced product you are referencing has (1964 style) intermediate brackets installed, which is incorrect for the 1963 Nova. 1963 Nova did not originally have the intermediate brackets that the 1964 models had.

For many years the only grill available on the market came with incorrect 1964 style intermediate brackets pre-installed, and required the re-use of your original center bracket and two end brackets. Additionally, fit and finish was marginal.

Times have changed with this newly tooled OER brand grill. OER saw the opportunity to offer a much improved product, and invested in new tooling to make it happen.

For those Nova owners who want a more authentic looking product with all brackets pre-installed, the OER item may be the better choice.

I've done a pictoral comparison of the older repro, and the new OER reproduction, for those who want to better understand the differences between the two products.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to shoot me a PM here at Steve's Nova Site. Thanks.

The 1962 Nova grille is very close to being done. I have seen pre-production samples, and they will be every bit as nice as the new OER grilles for 1963 and 1964 that have just been released.

It has been a long wait. But rest-assured... they are coming soon. They are working on getting the last little details dialed in and we will release them as soon as the quality control department at OER gives the final nod of approval.

How about the 65 grills? still says backordered 6 years later!
Hello bugguy357,

Yes. The 65 grills are coming soon as well. The vendor has stated that all tooling is complete. It is a matter of quality control now, which means receiving sample for test-fitting, fitting the pre-production sample to an original car and then reporting back to factory what minor changes need to be addressed for fitment purposes or if any cosmetic issues need to be addressed.

Once the QC team is satisfied that the grill passes all QC standards for fitment and cosmetics, they will give the nod for the item to go into production. After production, then it is several weeks or longer for the parts to get through packaging, transportation, customs, etc.

These QC processes can take many months to complete because pre-production samples have to be made, and there can be some back and forth with the engineers to get things right. But, our best guess is that this 1965 grill will be available later this year. We hope before the summer is over.

Thanks for the info. You can't bet the fit and finish of OER.
You're welcome. Thank you for the comment. The guys at OER would be pleased to hear that, I'm sure. They work hard to make sure the products they produce are the best that they can be.

Thank you Classic Industries for doing you part to support the classic car enthusiasts. A lot of old cars would not have a complete resto without companies like yours. Everyone knows that repops will never equal NOS or OEM, but it takes a lot of effort and risks to invest in a specialty type business, like CI, Modern and the others, especially in tax happy California. Keep up the good work and maybe throw in an extra discount for SNS members:yes::D
