Installed Pertronix ignition in my 194 and having a little trouble was wondering if anyone has any pointers for this upgrade. I set the module at 30 like the paper said i have a bad flat spot when taking off wasn`t there with points system any ideas on what could be wrong . gap, timing ??

Did you move the dist?

Timing now retarted?

Got a timing light?

Was your flat spot there before you upgraded to pertronics?

Could be accelerator pump....

if it's a stock 6 cyl try running 6-8 degrees intitial.

Run a full 12 volts to the coil! Yes, i know the instruction say not to.....But i spoke with the tech at pertronics,we had a very technical conversation.

With a 6 cyl you want to run the 3ohm coil and 12 volts.this will give you a 33% boost in spark voltage.
