Quick question for everyone. The original size tire on the V-8 and wagon cars was I believe 6.95-14. What is the radial equivelent of this size? I tried a 194/75R14 on mine a couple of years ago, and all it did was grind on the front fender, and have very little clearance in the rear. My car is all original, without any mods. I just bought a set of 13" and I'm using the stock poverty caps, which looks good, but 13" are getting harder to come by. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have 185/70/14's with plenty of clearance.....I also have 205/70/14's and they clear as well....it all has to do with the back space of the wheels....my backspace on 14x6 rally wheels is 4 3/8" works out perfect

Thanks for the info guys. One thing I didn't mention is that the 14" rims I have are stock. 2 are from a 78, and 2 are from a 80 Malibu. Does that make a difference.
