In September 05 the Assembly Part Number was superceded from 12561541 to 12581209.
The assemblies are completely interchangeable.

12581209 has casting number 12581210 on the base of the oilpan. This is the part used on the 04&05 GTO's.

06 GTO's had a slightly different oilpan with oil sensors in it. Part Number 12599397.

I had a GTO pan, but it didn't work. Could be because my car has the CPP front end and a unisteer power R&P...Not sure? We ended up going with the Moroso LS pan.

Hate to bring this back from the dead but i need some info imsick of searching so please forgive me if this has been asked .
Im putting a 5.3 in my 63 with stock steering and was wondering if the gto pan will work later on when i switch to a cbr manual rack OR if the f-body pan will work with both stock steering and cbr manual rack ? Im just trying to avoid having to buy 2 oil pans.

And if the cbr mid length headers will work with both oil pans ?

Thanks in advance for all the help

Mid length headers will work with both pans,Sorry you will need to swap pans unless you do the rack on the first go around,or stay with stock steering. There is no pan that will work with bolt types of steering
