get steering box loose

OK Guys, I am trying to remove my entire front clip on a 1963 Wagon. I have bought a TCI clip, and I have mine unbolted and it is an inch or two from the firewall. I thought the steering box would just slip off the column, but it seems to be attached somehow??? There aren't any bolts or pins...
