car hard to start

I can't take it any more so I'm turning to the gurus for help. When I let my car sit for 12 hours or so and try to start the car it is very hard to start. At first, I would pump the carb with gas 2 or 3 times and turn and work the gas and ignition tell it would start. During this process...
