Purchased this car from a long time friend. He had to sell this Nova and a beautiful 72 Corvette before moving to California. Since I couldn't afford or use the Vette (too many kids) I went with this Nova. It had been a Super Chevy project car (what a drag series and the engine is fine509) with the previous owner. They did most of the mechanical work and it runs like a top. It needs some interior, exterior body and paint work and a few detail items before I take it to shows.
1972 Chevrolet Nova (Blue)
It has a Dart block and aluminum headed 509ci BBC, built and dyno'd at Dart Machinery. It made 669hp before hyd. roller cam was replaced with a solid. With 950 cfm carb it dyno'd an additional 20hp from cam and carb swap. Trans is a PA TH400 with a tci 3500 stall convertor.
purchased new carpet and aftermarket front seats, but still has the Grant steering wheel, auto floor shifter and racing lap belts.
Car is headed to paint shop on Dec. 15th to take care of the rust and dents it carries.
It has an am/fm/cd, but its never on. The engine is the best music when driving.
It has a TCI front clip with rack & pinion, coil overs and tubular a-arms. In the back it has a Curries 9 inch w/ 3:70 gears & 31 spline axles topped of with 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes. Car is mini tubbed with leaf springs (lowered 1 inch and Slide-A-Link traction bars.
