History
California car ( It was an old race car at some point in the 1970's) No rust- but needed some work to fix the trunk floor from a fuel cell and wheel well mods and a few other Items. A new firewall and sub frame (The original was beat up bad)
I have posted a question about the core support bushings on another thread but thought I would post some pics of my project. I tried to make the car as nice as I could ( laying on my back on the floor blasting and painting) right where you see it in the garage. It came out decent,It is just a stock car not a high dollar 396/375 car But I love it and will never sell it.I still need to color sand and buff the body paint ,But the interior is done at last. There are some fabulous cars posted by members of this site. I just joined, but have followed and enjoyed many posts
and member pics over the years.I will post some body pics when I remove the plastic.
exhaust today.

Here are a few more pics ,kind of out of order from when I started -- all the blasting ,stripping ,blasting ,painting was done right where you see it in my garage. ( I will never do another one)
It almost took longer to clean up the mess than to do the work!
I will post the finished body paint this spring when I uncover the car

Here are a couple pics some of my custom paint work I do as a hobby --- bought these tanks on Ebay 6 years ago ($58 dollars each) 1956 /1975 2.3 gallon tanks -- for practice , since the last time did custom chopper tanks was 1976

Here are a couple more pics, I don't have body and paint prep pics they got deleted -- One problem the original SS hood had a hole cut in it for a tunnel ram back in the day and was replaced with a regular hood and the louver holes were already drilled in the wrong place (NOT done by me) I should have welded and redrilled it but didn't so I have the only nova in the history of the world with the louvers in the wrong place. I may find an SS hood and redo it correctly I still have a half gallon of paint left but I already have 3 times more money and time than the car is worth anyway ,so maybe I will live with it .
