  1. Engine Lift Points

    LSx Forum
They do sell LS valley lift plates, and they are very affordable. The only downside is you have to remove the intake, but I would do that anyway for an install. Jack
  2. 5.3 Build Question

    Drivetrain & Performance
You are going to be very hard pressed to pull that kind of power from those stock heads. If you are stuck with them, at least send them out for a good CNC port job from a reputable porter. The 862 is a good head for high port velocity on the small bore 5.3. If you are going to stay under 500...
  3. 63/64 SS guys, need carpet help

    Body and Interior
I can confirm that the ACC 3903 2dr auto carpet does not have a hump provision....that was a waste of $160.
  4. 1st gen before and after seats

    Body and Interior
Don't count on that November date...I ordered my rear cover in May, and the date has been pushed back 4 times now. Supposedly I will get them in October
  5. 63/64 SS guys, need carpet help

    Body and Interior
It states that you have to cut the carpet for the hump, and the console will hide the cuts:rolleyes: Hard to believe with all the SS cars out there that no one make an appropriate fitting carpet....4 Speed hump it is I guess. Worst part is I bought and installed the current carpet, and cant...
  6. 63/64 SS guys, need carpet help

    Body and Interior
Thanks for the link, that one did not come up in my search....Funny, everyone talks about Trim Parts, but their website has no listings for carpets whatsoever... So is the consensus to get the 4 speed hump, it looks way too big in the pictures? Jack
  7. 63/64 SS guys, need carpet help

    Body and Interior
Searched with no definitive answer....what carpet are you using, no one lists an SS carpet to fit the floor hump. I called ACC Carpet today, and they acted like this is the first time they have heard that an SS has a hump. They do list 2 different part numbers for an automatic car, but even...
  8. AAW bulkhead picture?

    Electrical
Thanks for the pics guys, those are exactly what I was looking for!
  9. AAW bulkhead picture?

    Electrical
I am looking at the "upgrade" kit. Looking for a pic of the engine bay side bulkhead, I should have been a bit more specific. Jack
  10. AAW bulkhead picture?

    Electrical
Considering rewiring my 63 with an AAW kit. I have been unable to find a picture of their bulkhead connectors, are they similar to the factory? Anyone have a picture by chance?
  11. Looking for a decent converter.

    Drivetrain & Performance
Call Circle D and have one spec'd to your setup.
  12. Spring rate on Viking coil overs?

    Steering, Suspension, and Chassis
Hopefully one of the CBR guys will chime in, but I am pretty sure they went from the 450 down to the 350 as the "standard" setup. Viking shows the 350 for street performance with a small block, 450 is "Pro Touring".
  13. Spring rate on Viking coil overs?

    Steering, Suspension, and Chassis
Yes, that is the 350 lbs spring. I have a set of 450's if you want to step up.
  14. CNC Aluminum sill plates?

    Body and Interior
Anyone aware of any CNC Aluminum sill plates for 1st gens coupes? Pretty much killed google last night looking for some. Only thing I found is a post here on Steves from 2011 for a company that seems to be out of business. Jack
  15. Setting temps on Electric fan

    Drivetrain & Performance
Factory PCM's can be programmed to turn the fans off at speed or by temp.
  16. Setting temps on Electric fan

    Drivetrain & Performance
Mine comes on at 207, off at 197, or 42 MPH, whichever comes first.
  17. Procar Classic Lowbacks in 1st Gen

    Body and Interior
Procar has a part number for both sides of a first gen. I have them on my shelf in the garage waiting for my seats to show up. Supposedly, they bolt in the factory position for bucket seat cars.
  18. LQ9 cam

    LSx Forum
Why play games and guess? Have a reputable person or company spec a custom cam for you. You can have everything you want, and it is no more expensive then buying a cam off the shelf. I had PatG (LS1Tech) spec my 5.3 cam, and it is amazing, tailored to my car, and works perfectly with my setup.
  19. The little details

    LSx Forum
Tapped and a small NPT plug installed with a dab of RTV.
  20. 63 front end

    Steering, Suspension, and Chassis
I agree with just about everything, but want to make the point that the 63 depending on where it was made may have rivets, mine did. Built Jan 63 at Oakland, and everything had rivets.
