  4. M&H or Mickey T

    Drag Racing Forum
Off subject a little, but what carb did you end up going with on your motor? I remember you were trying to get that figured out awhile back.
  5. trutrac, locker, spool experience

    Drivetrain & Performance
I run a stock ford 8.8 limited slip. I rebuilt it and run carbon fiber clutch’s and a stiffer S spring. My 421 is around 618-625hp. I’ve had zero issues with it. Cuts a 1.5-1.499 sixty. Hasn’t slipped on me once yet...
  6. Vanity plates

    Here is mine
  7. 8.2 Posi

    Drivetrain & Performance
The 8.2 is stronger than some think. I’m a little over 600hp and ran my bone stock 8.2 for a couple years before upgrading to a narrowed 8.8 Ford. I ran in the high 10s with the 8.2. I’m sure with a trans brake a manual tranny car it would be a different story.
  8. 327 Build

    Drivetrain & Performance
I completely agree with you on the custom cam. I’ve used Chris Straub for a few builds. 3 solid rollers and a couple squishy roller cams. All with very good results! Tim at Bullet is top notch also.

  11. SBC head bolt hole damage HELP

    Drivetrain & Performance
Yes. I do this all the time when I put timesert’s in the ford 4.6 and 5.4 spark plug holes. Like you said, the grease will catch 90% of the shavings.
  12. SBC head bolt hole damage HELP

    Drivetrain & Performance
I’ve timesert’d a bunch of Cadillac northstar blocks and other aluminum blocks. Pretty straight forward process. Just take your time and be sure to clean up all the shavings.
  13. Great Product - LubeLocker

    Drivetrain & Performance
Had a customer bring his Jeep to my shop for a set of gears front and rear. He supplied the gears and lube locker gaskets. I was impressed with the gasket. Definitely worth the money.
  14. Quarter panel buckling after 4 link installation

    Steering, Suspension, and Chassis
I mini rubbed mine and did the CBR 4 link. I didn’t remove the leaf springs until the mini tub was complete and the frame rails were boxed back in. I had no buckle issues.
  15. What did you do to your chevy II/Nova today

    The BS Area
Haven’t done much to mine besides drive it when the weather permits. Finally pulled it out of the garage on Sunday for a quick spin.
  16. BBC vs. SBC

    Drivetrain & Performance
    Heck....there are 327s in the low 10s....high 9s....
  17. 100 Point Car?

    Ebay, etc. Discussion
I’m sure the owner is proud of his car. But I wouldn’t give a penny more than 5-6k for that thing...

    1st & 2nd Generation Chevy II/Nova's
Looks like a really nice car! Great finding an L79 too!
  20. To LS swap or not to LS swap...that is the question

    Drivetrain & Performance
I’d stick with the current 427....not really gaining much going with the Lsx besides saying that you have an lsx. If it was boosted, I’d consider the swap.
