Started getting the front end together. Got new headlights installed, new turn signal lights, new front bumper. Its getting me excited!

Yesterday, I ordered a Disc brake kit from Auto City Classics. Got the kit with cross drilled and slotted rotors and 7" booster.

I'm really really starting to get excited about this car getting done.

I got a steel 2" cowl hood today, I'm loving it!

Time for another update!

Got new ball joints put in and started installing the disc brake conversion. Its still not done yet because the metal lines and booster brackets they sent me were wrong.

I also got a new exhaust system for my birthday. Its a Jegs 2.5" system. I had to cut the 3" collector ends off and get 3.5" collector adapters, but it ended up working out great. I went with the Thrush Welded mufflers.

Got the correct brackets for my brake booster today. I spent from 5pm to 10:30 tonight putting the metal lines in, modifying the rear brake line to match the proportioning valve and getting all the hoses hooked up. Only thing that sucks with this kit is that the calipers are for a A-body. So the hose exits off the bottom on the caliper.

Great Project

Love this thread. I have a 69 I'm getting ready to rebuild. I have a 73 that is done and I enjoy that car, but the 69 is my dream car. I have a 64 396 punched 30 over ready to drop in it when I get that far, but have a lot of work to do before that point.

I hope this thread will keep me motivated.

Thanks guys! I havent updated in a while, but Im in the process of sanding the body down and getting it prepped for paint. Ive decided that due to high costs, im going to paint it myself. I also changed the paint choice from Hugger Orange to TCP Global Firemist Orange.
