SBC. Standard .03" over. Edelbrock EFI. Decent HP. I like the lighter weight up front compared to a BB. But..... If I were to do it over, Id go with a BB. I really love BBs. Specially in a small car, mine is a 62. I just dont know if I could get it to handle like I like with the added weight.

But if I were to get a BB this is the one I would get. ZZ 572. 700hp, turn key. It has a nice line up of parts. And 14 grand isnt bad for what you get. Heck, Im into my SB for at least 7 grand.

Oh, a nice vid of a camaro with a 572. Waste of thin rubber but fun to watch.

Mine is a turbo I6 and I love it
I have had BBC, SBC, and I6 with and without turbo. BBC was fastest, turbo 6 the most fun. Loved the look on unsuspecting faces when I blew them away with a stock sounding school bus motor!!!

Love the BBC

At the age of 22, back in 1969 while in college in San Marcos Texas, I ordered a 1969 Nova SS L78. Dealer had never sold one prior to mine.

After the first four weeks, I must have checked with Chev. dealer every day waiting for it to arrive.

Drove it for 2 - 3 years before trading it in....That was the most fun 33K miles I ever put on a vehicle, some great memories.....40 years later, it would be hard for me to be satisfied with anything less than a 396... :) Unless it was a 454...!
