Ran a 355 for 10 years, now installing a 461" with a T400. Will let you know the difference in the spring.

Ok, still going so I wanted to add.. A BB IS American!!!! Americans are the Big Block users of the world. It says America!!! We have stuffed them in trucks, family cars and performance cars. Snubbed our noses at the rest of the world when they were running small dia pistons and short strokes then claiming we we old fashion yanks.

And they looked at us as over bearing, over using over the top Yanks. Well HELL YES!!! We are Americans!!! Thats how we do it. We do it BIG!!!! We ARE over the top, over bearing and wear big hats and boots (Texans, love them!!). And drive big cars, and use big block engines in ANY car that we see fit. Thats what we are all about and I for one love it!!!!

The Big Block engine is Americana and screw the folks that are not Americans that say we are excessive. They arent Americans and just dont get it... I do!!!!! JR

A lot of us have more than one Nova.

I run both small block & big block.

But since there were a lot more small blocks made than big blocks, the answer as to how many people have each will always go to the small block.

Bought my resto project with a 1970 LT1 355 camel bumps and performer intake. Want to restore her as purchased. Like the idea of massive big block torque but with a TCI front clip going into it I want it to handle responsively. Might do some Solo1 or Solo2 competeing with it with the Calgary Sports Car Club and or a little drag racing just for times.
For the most part street with economy in mind for now. It ran when I bought it but barely, I was full of really old gas. Want to fire her to life with what she came with after a complete tear down and rebuild. It's just sitting on an engine stand until the body and chassis is completed. Can't wait to tear into it, Kinda like Christmas as a kid.
