Bleeding air out of the cooling system

I used to have LT1, there was a special way to bleed the air out.
Now in my 350 engine I open the radiator cap and increase the RPM I see the collant in the radiator decreases wich goes inside the engine. when I turn my car off and look at the radiator coolant level the radiator is full.

There are funnels for coolant that will get the air out of the system. Some systems are hard, if not impossible, to purge the air out. This fits on the rad cap opening and has coolant in it. As the air burps out when the thermostat opens the coolant replaces the air. Here's a link to what they look like:
