Am I missing something? I thought you had a Unisteer R&P? When did you switch and why?

Not a dumb question at all...I guess you could get away with a smaller cut, but I wanted to have as much room as possible to play with so the install was easier, instead of cutting a little at a time and putting the trans up and down I thought why not cut the whole thing, set it where you want it and just weld in a piece.. That was my KISS method, plus it made the tran's tunnel higher so when its time to do the clutch there will be room to move the trans up and down...

Lol I've been wanting to get rid of that thing for along time. Thats another reason why my install was slow. I had to buy all the pieces while the motor was out.

The rack hung to low, it would grab on certain things in the road even at a slow roll..taking the car on the hwy's of America I didnt want to take any chances especially through curvy canyons..

Second reason I was tired of 3 point turns in everything I did..Turning radius was horrible..

I did not however have a Unisteer..I pieced mine together for 1/3 the cost

Hmm. Well my unisteer doesn't sit below the cross member and the turning radius is tight. So how come you didn't go with one of those instead of all the link and heavy box? I know money isn't a issue for you so what gives?? LOL.

Trust me your turning radius has been limited, not that its not tight..Plus they dont help with bumper steer issues, even know they say they do, but they dont...After seeing your motor barely clear the rack I didnt wont to have to go down that road with my motor..

I have a Lee gear box that has been worked with a special rack spool inside, that helps make it a quick ratio and very very responsive, it doesnt way much at all, if anything with all the new steering including box it may weight way 10 punds more than the rack..

After talking with Marcus at SCandC and Tyler at ATS I've learned you are limited on racks. Marcus worked with Unisteer on there racks but still couldnt get the bumpsteer out of it. Even with there new steering arms. It just doenst work with our control arm placement

I think next year Im going to order a whole new clip, from A.Morrison
