Windshield Washer Pump Repair ??????

Does anyone have experience with windshield washer pump repair kits?

I need to repair or replace the pump on my '66.

Is replacement a better option than repairing?

Thanks,
Jeff

Thumbs up

The repair kits that are available lack the bellows(rubber diaphram)that is usually the failed part. Go with a replacment if your not a period correct guy and just want a clean windshield.Good luck

Took the original apart just to see how it works. It is an interesting little machine. The bellows looked okay and so did all the small pieces in the intake/output section. Cleaned it up, greased all the moving parts, reassembled it and reinstalled -- but still won't pull fluid from the tank.

Found a USA-made replacement pump on Amazon for $20 and ordered it. The cost of a repair kit and a new bellows was gonna be more than $20.

Thanks.
