Problem: B&M Shifter on TH350

In attempt to hook up the B&M pro ratchet shifter on my TH350, the shifter was stuck on 1st, while the lever on the tranny is on the PARK position. The shifter will not go to PARK.
Does the cable run through the front of the shifter, or back? At the time, I have it ran towards the front.
Also, on the TH350, if the lever on the tranny is all the way forward (toward the front of the car), this is in the PARK position, correct?

What am I doing wrong?

Here's a link to the installation instructions. At the bottom of the page is a link to the Adobe file. http://www.bmracing.com/index.php?id...ubcat=2&pid=21

I had a problem with my B&M Z gate, after reviewing instructions and making some adjustments, it worked great.
