'68 Custom Seat Emblems Pics

Hi,
Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else needs the info. I recently took some closeup pics of my originally restored seats in my '68 to show fellow member Bill T what they look like and where to locate them if restoring the seats.

Hey, thanks for posting that. I really needed the info and pics are great. One question, though, I posted a thread the other week about this topic and I was forwarded pictures of emblems supposed to be of the 68 Nova but they look different than yours. They are plain chrome looking and curved on the sides to be more oval looking in shape rather than rectangular. I always thought they were retangular but I have also seen the other type on some seats as well. Are they both correct being from different times during the build of the 68 model? OR is there a difference between SS seats and the custom seats as the pattern also seems to be slightly different??

Here is a pic of the emblem I'm referring to. Is this correct for the 68 Nova?

Re

I concur. All the real deal original '68's I have seen at shows have the ones I posted or none at all. I've seen redone seats with no emblem because the repop covers don't have the emblem as an option. You just can't get them anywhere except the junkyards. This might be a harder item to find than the ashtrays!!

There not hard to find. I found one in a box in my garage. I don't have any idea where it came from. Another one was given to me by a member of this site.

Just curious why those are so hard to find? I have seen a lot of those it seems. Is there a major difference in them?

No,
You're just one of the "Lucky Guys"!!!!
Try to find two more and let me know.
I'll take them off your hands for ya!!
I was at a car show this year and saw a '68 Nova, kinda ratty, but set up for track only.
It had the custom interior and I noticed those emblems still on the door panels. Wish I could have bought them off him but I couldn't find him. Oh Well!!!
Ken
Here's a pic of 66-67 Emblem, notice Chevy II on emblem.
On the 68's it says Nova

P.S.
I far as I know, and I may be wrong, but those emblems only came
on '68's with the custom interior package. They may look like the 66-67
emblems but are different.

You sure you are not thinking of the 66/67 that say Chevy II on them?

You're right...I had it confused with the 66 67 emblem.

What are the sizes of the emblems?

I wonder if these can be made to work?
