Aeromotive has been talking to me about sponsoring me with parts for the fuel system. They have been talking to me about an intank pump. Does anyone have any experience with their intank pumps? Are they loud and annoying? How are they performance wise?
I would be very interested in an intank pump from them. But - I don't see anything about it on their site. Do they have one? Part #? All I see on their site are inline pumps..
An aftermarket 'generic' intank fuel pump for 'all applications'(you make it fit) would be great, but I haven't found one yet. So - I guess I'm just going to have to modify a stocker..
here some pic of 4.8 in my 79 nova, the oil pan will need to be replace, plans are to use a 4 speed behind it with 3.73s and posi, and use edelbrocks carb intake

for info you have come to the right place! Another great site is ls1tech.com they have a ton of great info on the engine itselfas well as some nova guys doing the same installs. You should also check out street and performance's website at hotrodlane.cc . What year is your car? If you have a first gen, do you plan on getting a front clip? I know that chassis works and street and performance both make mounts and adapters for the lsx engines.
welcome to the site!!!!
Thank u so much. Its a 73 nova hb i got on a good deal. i will look at the other wbsites for more info and have pm'ed some member on more info as well.
How loud are they because if they are that annoying I don't want them in my tank!
John
LOL! the A1000 is louder than my exhaust. Heres a video I shot when I first got the car running, listen tot he fuel pump which I made a box for and coated the inside and outside with bedliner to try and deaded the sound....its loud.

LOL - forgot how loud those pumps were.. In my Fox Mustang/conversion it would get higher pitched when I hit the brakes and the fuel surged to the front of the tank. And there was foam in the tank too. Just very annoying.
Nice car/setup!!! A buddy of mine was building something very similar until Wheel2wheels green sleeper came out in Hot Rod - which looks nearly identical to his. He lost interest and the car is just sitting now...

No problem I am glad that I could help! Call the street and performance guys, they are super helpful and will make sure to take the time to answer all of your questions!
They better have a nice quiet intank one or I'm going to talk to Walbro!
John
I see alot of people do the dual walbros in the f-bodys well over 1000hp.
Ive been thinking going that route. It is very annoying, like an ultra-light flying low behind you. Ive had it for 4 years and its very reliable though.
