700R-4 kickdown cable adjustment

It seems I'm not adjusting the thing correctly as it won't shift right! It goes into high gear as soon as I take off unless I manually shift it I think I followed the instructions but must have done something wrong. can anyone give me a clue as to how to adjust? Thanks, Deuce!

The TV cable adjustment is the single most important part of installing a 700R4. I would suggest that you not drive this car until you have it adjusted. A quick web search on '700R4 TV Adjustment' should yield plenty of walk-throughs.

What setup are you using? I have a Lokar cable, and I just set mine up so WOT is full pull on the cable. Take 72Ventura's advice, as an improperly adjusted TV cable can fry up the tranny in as little as a couple hundred kilometres.....and I personally know someone who did it.
