73-74 Hatchback Metro Weatherstipping update

Greetings,

In this morning's UPS shipment I received my first sample weatherstripping for the '73-'74 hatchback. It's got the same shape of the original GM piece. Wish I could get off work early to install it to see how it fits!!!!

It's about time a company stepped up to the plate and make hatchback weatherstripping for the '73-'74s.

Jason

Be sure and let me know how it fits!!

My 73 Hatchback has 2 regular trunk gaskets "welded" together to seal the hatch and it has a few issues!! Read that as Leaks.

Greetings,

I put on the weatherstripping this morning...fit perfectly! I did have to trim it as it was too long, but that's normal with any weatherstripping you get anymore it seems like. I did a water test and it worked fine. I wasn't able to do a wind-noise test as next Sunday I'll be putting in a violent TH350 in then.

Retail is expected to be $69.95...Here's a pic of it for you!

So no water leaks!

Wind noise you can adjust out with the hatch latch usually.

Well I appreciate the info!! Would like to know what you think after it's been in for a while.

Seems like a reasonable price too.

Thanx for the update --- Richard
