Redesigned my gas pedal. LS motor (DBW)

so this is what I did originally

but this setup was mounted too high and after driving to Santa Cruz and back I realized that it makes for a very uncomfortable driving position
so today I made a new arm, cut off the old one and installed it

I bolted it down, test drove it then welded it in

Very cool idea, novaBRO. I really like this and want to do the same with my install.

A couple questions if you don't mind:

1. How thick is the metal on the arm you made?
2. Did you use an existing hole on the firewall for mounting the bracket?

Thanks!
