So I though the sound was coming from the water pump so I changed it out. Fired her up this afternoon and right away the squeak starts up. Guess the next step is change the oil and filter and see what happens. Any thoughts?

Start it with the belt off and see if it does it. Loose belt, power steering low, etc..

Okay so is it turned out there was gasoline in my oil and it'd end up the oil so much that it caused the squeaking soon as I change the oil and the filter the squeaking went away thanks for the help guys now I just gotta figure out how to change the jets so the Edelbrock 750 becomes a 600.
I'm guessing if you had a lot of gasoline in the crankcase your problem is a bad fuel pump. A fuel pump will sometimes make a squeaking noise when it has failed.

Well just thought I would update on what has been going on. I got a new Holley 600 and when I removed the Edelbrock I found that it had been installed with two gaskets. Got the Holley put in and guess what? No more squeak. I figure it must have been a vacuum leak escaping between the two gaskets.
