HEY!! I represent that remark!!! Both of mine started blue, then one was red, one got painted dark blue and now the red one is black! LOL

Anyway, I've said it before you have a great car there, so awesome that you kept it all these years.

I have a good friend who has the same car but with 4 speed and he bought his new too. His is black.

That's the one thing I forgot when I ordered it. Ugh!
Back in the day they were metal, and not that easy to remove. But it's original, and part of the car.

I had a feeling that I'd meet you some day, and I didn't want a car the same color as yours! Black is the best color for any vehicle. But a lot of people feel the same way.
