Retrofuel 2010 Camaro fuel pump kits and complete tanks for EFI and LS applications

Well, I've finally took the plunge and ordered my first full order of fuel trays and everything else to go along with them.

I'm offering DIY kits and complete tanks that allow you to put a 2010 Camaro pump into your 62-67 Nova fuel tank (except 3rd row seating wagon).

The main benefit of a 2010 Camaro pump is it's siphon jet system that allows the pumps fuel bucket to be full and overflowing with fuel even if the tank itself is relatively low on fuel.

Here's a thread showing the pump in detail (NOTE THAT THE BLUE ANODIZED CONNECTION IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PUMP. IT IS AN OPTION):

http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums...d.php?t=192282

You can hook up a corner pickup system to the grey siphon tube of the pump to allow the bucket to be fed in a cornering event even if the tank is very low on fuel. The fuel will rush to one side of the tank, and the siphon system will draw fuel through the pickup and into the pump's bucket, keeping the bucket full which allows the pump to be submerged in fuel.....greatly reducing fuel starvation and also keeping the pump cool.

Here's a couple of pics of the first prototype tank I built:

Due to the angled shape of a Nova tank, I have to modify the pump to arrange the siphon system to be placed in the lowest spot possible in the tank. You can also see the pickup system in this pic. The braces mount underneath the edges of the tray. They are bent like that to provide constant downpressure to keep the pickup from rattling around. .:

Hard to get a good pic, but you can see the pickup in the corner:

Overall pics.:

I am offering these setups in two different ways, one is a DIY kit where you get the tray, the modified pump, and a fuel level sender (based on your ohm range needed 0-30, 0-90, or 240-33). The base kit doesn't include a regulator and will either need a PWM (pulse width modulator - electronic fuel pump control device) which utilizes a pressure sensor to control the pumps speed, or it will need your own external regulator.

A 58psi regulator kit can be installed into the pump before I ship it.

You can also have the corner pickup system included with a DIY kit as well.

The other offering is a complete tank with the pump tray, pump, and fuel level sender already installed. The 58psi regulator kit and the corner pickup system are options for the complete tanks as well.

Here's a rundown of the pricing:

62-67 NOVA PRICES: (shipping not included) REMEMBER: These kits are based on you upsizing your vent line in your filler tube. As an option, we can accomodate a vent hole in the tray for you. Contact me for details

P/N - NOVA KIT- $410

This baseline DIY kit Includes the following:

Retrofuel stainless steel tray, pump mounting rings, and fuel level sender mounting ring (this is just for parts and does NOTinclude installation into the tank). Corner feed pickup top brackets are included as well (in case you decide to add the corner pickup system at a later date). We can also provide the proper holes for your desired venting and/or return line arrangement at no additional cost.

Modified Genuine 2010 GM Camaro Fuel pump module and o-ring. The modifications allow the pump's siphon system to sit at the lowest spot possible in the Nova tank to allow the most reliable fuel supply to the jet.

Fuel level sender in your choice of 0-90 ohm, 0-30 ohm, or 240-33 ohm arrangements. YOU MUST VERIFY YOUR GAUGE SIGNAL BEFORE ORDERING.

This kit does not include a regulator, and can be used with a PWM or your own regulator system including standard EFI.

DIY KIT OPTIONS:

P/N - M58 $75 - 58 psi mechanical internal regulator system installed into the pump (if ordered at the same time as the pump, otherwise shipped separately for you to install). This sets the system's operating pressure to the correct pressure for LS engines. This regulator is returned internally to the pump, so this system only has one fuel line - no return line.

P/N -CPS - $110 Walbro corner pickup system (Two corner pickups, connection tubing, y-fitting, clamps, and stainless lower pickup braces with bolts and nuts). Highly recommended for extremely reliable fuel supply to the pump in low fuel level and cornering situations. Advisable to use this even in normal street car situations.

Here's a pic of the DIY Kit with the optional CPS included:

COMPLETE TANKS:REMEMBER: Tanks are based on you upsizing your vent line on the filler tube. As an option, we can accomodate a vent hole in the tray as well. Contact me for details.

P/N - NOVA T - $725 -Complete baseline tank setup - Canadian Ni-terne GM41 tank with the basic DIY kit already installed. Pump tray, rings, top corner pickup brackets, and fuel sending unit mounts are TIG welded into tank. Includes installation of a fuel pressure sender of your choice, modified GM 2010 Camaro fuel pump, o-ring, and pump ring mounting nuts. Pump has the OEM 88psi poppet valve installed and will require an alternate source of pressure regulation. (either your own regulator or a PWM). This setup is very similar to the typical fabricated stainless tank with an aftermarket EFI pump installed, which cost around $1100

P/N - NOVA T-M58 - $800 - Same as the NOVA T with the addition of the M58 setup to run as a returnless system at 58psi.

P/N - NOVA T-CPS- $875 - Same as the NOVA T with the addition of the CPS system installed. Does NOT include a 58psi regulator.

P/N - NOVA T-CPS-M58 - $950 - Our top of the line, all-inclusive tank. Includes the M58 mechanical regulator kit as well as the CPS Walbro corner pickup system for maximum fuel supply to the pump. This is comparable to a fabricated stainless tank with the same pump and pickup system installed which cost around $1700.

DIY KIT AND COMPLETE TANK OPTIONS (will be installed if ordered at the same time as your kit or tank):

P/N - PWIRE - $40 - Harness connection pigtail to connect to pump's wiring connection. OEM connection on end to connect to pump and bare wires at the other end to connect to your wiring system. Power and ground only. The two positions for the 2010 OEM level sender will be plugged off. See picture below:

P/N - 6M - $20 - Blue anodized male -6AN fitting for pump discharge connection.

New harness setup (P/N PHARN): $75 Sending unit ends are crimped and then heated. The insulation is a shrink tube type with a small bead of solder inside. The shrink tube shrinks up when heated, and the solder then melts and offers a more reliable connection than just the crimp. Sending unit wires are 16 gauge, and the pump power/ground are 12ga. Overall length is approximately 24 inches long.

P/N ZL1: $85 additional to DIY kit price or complete tank price. NOT YET READY FOR SALE WITH A KIT OR COMPLETE TANK

Here is the bottom of the ZL1 pump (pump on the right). You can see the black connection tube that links the extra bottom siphon suction to the jet pump. This pump is the exact same size as the LS3 2010 Camaro pump (pump on the left). I have NOT designed the pickup tube connections for this one yet. It may not be necessary to modify this pump like I do for the LS3 pumps due to the extra bottom siphon that will naturally be located at the front/lowest portion of the tank. I will follow up with the details of that soon.

P/N VENT: $15 Stainless 3/8 female NPT vent bung can be added along with the DIY kits as a separate piece.

P/N VENTWELD: $30 Vent bung welded into a complete tank. P/N VENTWELD. Includes the vent bung as well as the weld-in installation.

Complete tanks will need about 12 days of lead time or so because I have to get them welded up, pressure tested, and assembled.

At this time, Paypal is what will work best. I am not setup for credit cards yet. I'm trying to keep all of my costs down to a bare minimum to avoid increasing prices on anything, and right now, Paypal is the only thing affordable for me.

Just remember I'm a regular Joe, with a regular day job, and the normal family life. I might not be able to respond immediately, but I will do my best to get to your needs ASAP.

I'm currently taking orders either through PM, posting in this ad, or email (info@retrofuel.com - same as my Paypal address). I want to keep it all in print so there are no mistakes with what P/N you are ordering.

Thanks!!

This should fit all but the 3rd seat wagons. Mine uses the same tank as a non-wagon.

Any reason it doesn't

The system is originally setup as a returnless system (pressure can be regulated at the pump for 58psi). However, anyone that wants a return line can have that done. Just need to contact me for your needs and we can arrange it.

Thanks for looking!!

I'm not sure how far along the customers are, so I cannot say. I can ask them though. So far with mine (750 miles) I haven't had any issues at all.
