Melissa's 63 Wagon!

Finally. We found me a wagon. I call it an early birthday present, why not? We looked at 4 wagons in a week and this one was the one David did not even want to bother looking at. Call it luck or whatever but this was THE ONE! Was meant to be. Also the previous owner was very up front with David, he had also owned the car for 20 years. You could tell how sad he was to see it go as we pulled away.

So yes, I have many plans. First thing we want to do is find a temporary engine and get it safe to drive. Throw in some seat covers. I want to enjoy it while doing a restore. Now the restore! Yes, I am getting some flack from various people about my color scheme Well, I want what I want. One of the colors I have always loved is PINK! Yes, you read that right. And it all came together when I seen a pink/grey Fleetline driving down the street. David said "But I want to drive it sometimes" lol well I told him I would have a custom sign made he can put on the back window that says "My wifes car" A car is a representation of who we are right? Just like our tattoos. I would never tell someone what to put on their body. It's their choice, it's who they are. Tell me this does not look awesome! see link.

and me as happy as all heck when I knew it was mine!

We had to stop at a Lowe's to buy tie straps. Ours seemed to have disappeared.

Arriving at Bills, where he will keep it for me until we move. He fancys making it into a convertible. Getting rid of the posts!

Thank God there were two of them trying to figure out how to back it in!

Rust

And I have no idea why Bill decided to shine up a spot????

and of course.....video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just tell Dave, "It's not pink, it's coral" (and not corral as in horse house!)

Is it a '63? I thought you were getting a 65 with 63 front end

That's good, I still need lots of parts for my 65 and I don't need any more competition.
