Chevrolet Historical Documents

I saw this posted on the Yenko S/C Musclecar Discussion Forum.
Chevrolet Historical Documents.
Interesting stuff.
All years, Camaro, Nova, Chevelle, etc.
Includes AMA Specifications, RPOs, Dealer Sales Brochure, etc.
Same stuff in packet we used to get free from Chevrolet's Customer Assistance Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Now they charge you $50 for hard copy.

1962-1988 Novas:

http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...ive/docs/Nova/

Each one has adobe.pdf file download, varies from 4mb-18mb-20mb.
Example: 1969 Nova 4.5mb pdf took about 45 seconds on my cable modem to download. 1968 Nova about 4X that.

For those interested in 3rd generation 1968-1976 Nova SS & Acadian SD:

1968 Example: Page 70 of 139 has comprehensive chart with SS exterior option features and page 72-end has long story, "Chapter 10 - New Novas, Old Themes" that covers 1968-76 Nova SS story and 3rd generation Acadian story.

Y'all gotta read this.

Same thing is in the mid point to end of all PDFs from 1968-1976.

Gary

The 62 section has writes up on the history of the Nova's development (a.k.a., H-35 program), to include, "Pocket Edition Super Sports by Chevy II 1962 - 1965". It gives the history of the Nova and the SS program through 1965. Some real interesting reading.

So what ever happend to the 66-67 proto-type that was displayed in 64 at New York autoshow that looks very much like a camaro roof line? Or Ray Brock / Bill Thomas' 62 test car with a Vette 327? How about Don Nicholson's GM sponsored 62 Nova drag car 'campaigned' in the 62 Winternationals? According to this book, by mid 62 Chevy had part numbers for the V-8 conversion and it was being done by dealers

So how come there's a 1968 coupe and 1968 sedan listed?

Have the coupe vs sedan wars have snuck beyond the 67 limit now?!?!?
